Free training is being offered to help those at the heart of community groups and charities know their responsibilities and how to meet them.
The free full day course, organised by Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS), provides clear explanations of the roles and responsibilities of trustees, company directors and company secretaries. The course may also be interesting to governors of academies.
Topics covered include the types of legal structures for charitable companies, what is expected of charity trustees and company directors and practical ideas on how to develop an effective board of directors.
The course is suitable to those new to these roles or anyone wishing to refresh their knowledge.
The course is endorsed by the Faculty of Secretaries and certificates of achievement will be awarded to those who pass the optional end of course exam.
The course takes place at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Lincoln, Brayford Wharf North, Lincoln, 9.45am 4pm, Friday, June 19.
